Are you accepting new clients?
Yes! You can book an appointment through our website or by calling us directly at 916-436-0507.
Any voicemails left during non business hours will be answered the next day between 8:30am-9:00am.
Do I need to prepare anything for my first visit?
If you are a new client, save time by filling out our new client form online. This will be sent to you when you schedule your appointment. Email all of your pet’s previous medical records to info@fairoakspet.com. If you don’t have these on hand, no problem! Just let us know where you’ve taken your pet in the past and we will track them down for you.
Please give us at least 3 business days to do so. Some hospitals take some time to send records and some require owner approval before doing so.
how do i know if my pet needs to see a veterinarian?
Not sure if what’s going on with your pet requires medical attention? Give us a call, text us a photo, or just drop by. We’re happy to help answer that question for you.
Our telemedicine appointments are also a great way to chat directly with a veterinarian before making the decision to bring your pet to the hospital.
Are you a 24 hour emergency hospital?
No, our hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm. This is when we will have staff on site. Please see our “Emergency” section for a list of local 24 hour Emergency Hospitals.
do you offer same-day veterinary appointments or urgent care for pets?
Yes! We set aside appointment slots each day specifically for same-day visits and urgent care needs. If your pet requires immediate attention, give us a call—we’ll do our best to accommodate your request. For added convenience, we also offer drop-off appointments, allowing you to leave your pet with us while we perform any necessary exams, tests, or treatments.
How much do exams cost?
